Storm clouds in the sky

The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF-1 tornado occurred in Irving on March 16.

Irving home and business owners who suffered property damage from the severe storms are encouraged to submit a report online to the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) at damage.tdem.texas.gov. Copies of reports can be forwarded to the City of Irving Office of Emergency Management via email at oem@cityofirving.org.

This will help officials identify resource needs and determine eligibility for disaster assistance. In addition, home and business owners should contact their insurance companies as soon as possible if they have experienced significant damage.
