As part of the ongoing Irving interchange construction project, the southbound Loop 12 frontage road, which provides access to the westbound State Highway (SH) 183 frontage road, will be closed at Texas Plaza Drive beginning April 15. Work is expected to be completed by the end of June, weather permitting.
Signs and message boards will be posted to detour traffic. See the TxDOT Detour Map:
- Red Route: Northbound Loop12 to westbound SH 183.
- Blue Route: Southbound Loop12/eastbound SH 114 frontage road to westbound SH 183.
Local access for residents through Texas Plaza Drive also will be provided during this closure.
Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays in the area and use alternate routes when possible.

This work is part of TxDOT's ongoing $301 million Irving Interchange project that will reconstruct the interchanges at SH 183, SH 114, Loop 12 and Spur 482.
