Library's Summer Reading Challenge Kickoff Events


Irving Public Library holds the secret to a thrilling summer for all ages! Discover live performances, crafting events and other sizzling summer activities while enjoying plenty of great reads between June 1 and July 31. Babies, children, teens and adults are all invited to participate.

Kickoff Celebrations:

Families are invited to Summer Reading Challenge Kickoff parties at the following times and dates:

  • May 27, 2:30 p.m. | West Irving Library | Brett Roberts’ Puppet Circus  
  • May 31, 2:30 p.m. | South Irving Library | Equest Mini-Horse Ambassadors
  • May 31, 2:30 p.m. | Valley Ranch Library | James Wand Magic Show

Use the online service ReadSquared to register, track progress and engage in novel activities, such as book reviews, recommended reads and online games. Paper reading logs also will be available at any Irving Library location.
