Heads up, Irving! Some residents may hear more air traffic because of a runway construction project at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
Crews will be working through the fall of 2024 to rehabilitate the airport’s primary east side departure runway, which handles 50% of DFW’s daily departures. During this time, airplane traffic will shift to other runways, which may cause increased noise for neighborhoods near Valley View Lane and W. Walnut Hill Lane. The most significant change for the surrounding communities will be from late summer 2023 through early summer 2024.
