Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 26, westbound Rochelle Road, from Toler Lane to MacArthur Boulevard, will reopen with one lane; westbound traffic will be permitted to cross the Rochelle/MacArthur intersection, as well as travel north and south on MacArthur. Eastbound Rochelle Road traffic will continue to be detoured to southbound MacArthur Boulevard. View the detour map.
In addition, Metker Street will be closed at the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard.
MacArthur Boulevard, from Metker Street to Rochelle Road, continues as one lane in each direction (north- and southbound) in the southbound lanes. In addition, southbound MacArthur traffic is prohibited from turning left to eastbound Rochelle Road. This phase of work is expected to run through late October, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes when possible and expect traffic delays.
This work is part of the MacArthur Boulevard Reconstruction Project, a $27.9 million, two-year project to improve drainage, water system infrastructure and the quality of streets.
