The 24-hour work schedule on the Cottonwood and Hackberry Interceptor Microtunneling Project will pause temporarily from Nov. 19 to Dec. 3 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Beginning Dec. 4, 24-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, will resume. Crews will operate 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturdays. This 24-hour work schedule is expected to end mid-December, weather permitting.
The interceptor project which runs along Riverside Drive is anticipated for completion in July 2024, weather permitting.
Motorists in the area are reminded that Riverside Drive is closed to one lane in each direction. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes when possible and to slow down through construction zones.
