Esters Road Paving and Utility Improvement Begins in February

The City of Irving’s Capital Improvement Program will break ground on its newest road construction project: Esters Road paving and utility improvements. The project is expected to begin late February and will roll out in two phases:

  • Phase I is the reconstruction of pavement and utilities along Esters Road from State Highway 183 to Rochelle Road. 
  • Map showing scope of Esters Road Improvement ProjectPhase II includes work from just south of Rochelle Road, extending north of Twin Falls Street.
  • Work on both phases of the project is expected to take place at the same time.

The $17 million project includes adding a new water line, as well as replacing an existing water line, wastewater mains, storm drainage systems, concrete paving and sidewalks.

A public meeting to provide details on the Esters Road Paving and Utility Improvements project will be held on Wednesday, March 6 at 2 p.m., at the Jack D. Huffman Community Building, 801 W. Irving Blvd.

The project is scheduled to be completed by August 2025, weather permitting.
