Irving Music Factory Site Progresses

Site construction at the Music Factory, June 2016.

The Irving Music Factory is primed to be an all-in-one dining and entertainment destination for North Texas. The $165 million project’s centerpiece will be the Pavilion at the Music Factory, a $40 million high-tech music venue that converts from a 4,000-seat concert hall to an 8,000-seat amphitheater. Large retractable doors will open to transition the building into an open-air amphitheater, giving its operator, Live Nation, seasonal options as well as tremendous flexibility in booking sizes and types of acts.

The site will offer retail and restaurant space, including the popular Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Marketplace, which offers food and beverages with movie viewing, a comedy club and more than 20 restaurant options, as well as 100,000 square feet of office space. The development also will offer a large plaza with a stage to host other shows and entertainment.

Check out the progress of the site through March 17 with this time-lapse video, which was presented at the April 5 City Council Work Session.
