City of Irving Warns of Possible Scam

Filling a water glass from the faucet.

City of Irving staff was alerted to a possible scam involving the city’s water supply.

The City of Irving is reminding residents the city water supply is safe and in the event any city employee needs to test the water supply they do not need to do so by entering residents’ homes and under no circumstances will require payment for a test to be conducted. Water samples are taken outside. Employees are also clearly identified and will be in vehicles marked with City of Irving logos.

If at any time a resident should be suspicious of anyone claiming to work for or with the city we encourage them to call (972) 721-2281. Residents believing they may have been a victim of this scam should immediately contact their financial institution.
