Residents can safely discard any personal documents at an upcoming shredding event, which will be held March 22 at the Las Colinas Service Center, 5964 Riverside Drive. The event is schedule from 11 a.m to 2 p.m., or until the truck reaches capacity. Each resident can bring two boxes of paper for destruction. Hosted by Irving Solid Waste Services, this free event is for Irving residents only, and proof of residency is required. Materials from businesses are be accepted.
In addition, computers, printers and other electronics will be accepted for recycling. Unfortunately, CRT monitors and televisions are not accepted for recycling, but can be placed at the curb with regular trash for collection.
