Aurora Rising is the first book in Jay and Amie Kaufman’s newest space adventure series starring a cast of misfit cadets from a prestigious academy who are the last hope for the galaxy. Q: Will Amie Kaufman be at the event?
A: No, Amie is on maternity leave at home in Australia and will not be attending the event.

Q: Can I pre-order Aurora Rising and pick it up at the event?
A: No, pre-orders will not be available at the event, but Barnes & Noble will have plenty of copies on hand to purchase, along with copies of Jay and Laure’s other titles.
Q. Which books will be for sale at the event?
A. The featured titles for the event are Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff and The Curses by Laure Eve. We will also have a limited quantity of the following titles:

Q: Can I bring books from home or do I have to buy a copy of Aurora Rising at the event?
A: You can bring copies of Jay and Laure’s books from home, but all copies of Aurora Rising purchased on site will come with a free gift, exclusive to this event.
Q: What about the Aurora Rising pre-order campaign?
A: All copies of Aurora Rising purchased on-site are eligible for the Aurora Rising pre-order campaign! You can upload a copy of your receipt to the Underlined website in order to receive a free copy of Memento, an Illuminae Files prequel novella. Signing Line Ticket FAQ:
Q: When can I pick up a line ticket?
A: Signing line tickets will be distributed starting 10 a.m., Monday, May 6 at South Irving Library first floor customer service desk, 601 Schulze Dr., Irving, TX. 76060. There is NOT a limited number of tickets so we will not run out, and they will be distributed all the way through the event on Thursday.
Q: Can I pick up tickets in advance for my family or friends?
A: Each person can pick up a maximum of four line tickets prior to the event. Please only take as many tickets as you will need.
Q: Is a line ticket required to get into the event?
A: No. Anyone is welcome to attend the event. However, a ticket will be required to join the signing line. Parents attending with a teen do not need a ticket if they are not getting a book signed.
Q: If I can't pick up a line ticket before Thursday, will I have a chance to get Jay and Laure to sign my books?
A: We will continue to give out line tickets during the event.
Q: Can you mail me a line ticket? Or can you hold one for me?
A: No. We will continue to give out line tickets during the event.
Q: Will I be able to talk with Jay or ask questions when he signs my book(s)?
A: The event will start with a conversation between Jay and Laure and Q&A session with the audience. To accommodate all the people wanting books signed, we request conversations with Jay during the signing be kept short.
Q: Can I take a picture with Jay and Laure?
A: Yes! A staff member will be assisting with photos. In order to accommodate all attendees, we do ask that you do not go behind the signing table for pictures.
Q: How many books can I bring to the event? Can I get all of my books signed?
A: Jay will sign all of his books at the event but only one will be personalized.
Q: How can I get my book signed by Amie Kaufman?
A: Jay will have two stamps with him: one of Amie’s signature, and one that is a signature IOU to be signed at a later date. Everyone can pick which stamp they want in their copy of Aurora Rising.
