The Dallas County Local Mitigation Strategy is currently under revision, and the Dallas County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management is asking for resident input through an online survey. The survey is estimated to take approximately five minutes to complete.
The hazard mitigation plan was originally adopted in 2009 to assess the community’s risks and vulnerabilities from natural hazard events and identify actions to reduce the dangers to life and property. The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) regulations require that the plan be updated every five years.
