Pedestrian Bridge Removal over Delaware Creek at Canyon Oaks Drive

Pedestrian bridge over Delaware Creek at Canyon Oaks Drive

On Aug. 6, the pedestrian bridge over Delaware Creek connecting Canyon Oaks Drive with the public green space between Delaware Creek and Sunnybrook Drive will be removed.

In addition, a portion of the public green space between Canyon Oaks Drive and Sunnybrook Drive will be used to store the pedestrian bridge, as well as other equipment and construction materials. For safety, this area will be secured from public access with fencing.

Removing the bridge will allow construction of new wastewater lines, as well as reconstruction of a deeper drainage channel with vertical walls. After the channel work is completed, the pedestrian bridge will be set back in place over Delaware Creek.

Reopening the pedestrian bridge and full access to the public green space is expected by fall 2020.
