Hallowreads 2019

Hallowreads NF

October is the time for spine chilling reads. What better way to celebrate than with a monthlong series featuring a singular work of celebrated literature -- Bram Stoker's Dracula!

This Hallowreads, don't forget to pick up a free copy of Dracula at the Valley Ranch Library information desk while supplies last. Then join in crafts, coloring, a movie and a book discussion not for the faint of heart. A classic of Gothic horror, the novel introduces the character of the vampire, Count Dracula, and tells the story of Dracula's attempt to move from Transylvania to England. There, he victimizes innocent people in order to quench his insatiable thirst for blood and spread the curse of the undead. To date, Dracula has inspired hundreds of adaptations and spin-offs, including plays, novels and films.

Teens and adults are welcome to drop in, if you dare, to one of the many events planned this October inspired by the Count during the 2019 Hallowreads:
