The city’s premier theater group, MainStage Irving-Las Colinas, recently announced an exciting expansion. The theater group has leased a city-owned building at 222 E. Irving Blvd., where it soon will be programming entertainment in the Heritage District.
While the production company will continue to operate out of its home, the Irving Arts Center, it also will offer performances and other entertainment options at its new location, MainStage222.
MainStage has been a mainstay in Irving for more than 48 years and promises that the Heritage location will offer a variety of entertainment, as well as event and meeting space. MainStage222 includes indoor and outdoor stages, as well as rehearsal space, storage and a scene-building facility.
“The city is thrilled to enhance Irving’s robust arts and entertainment options,” Irving Mayor Rick Stopfer said. “I know MainStage is looking forward to unveiling its new venue and sharing programs’ energy and enthusiasm with more residents.”
Additional information will be provided at MainStage Irving-Las Colinas’ website IrvingTheatre.org.
