Epic Fall Events, a Parent's Guide

What's lurking around the corner?

Free fall programs for all ages at Irving Public Library, including:

7 p.m. Oct. 23 | Wednesday Night Live: Favorite Book Characters | Valley Ranch Library (tickets required)

Listen to stories and make crafts. Kids ages 2-10 can join the costume contest at 7:25 p.m. by arriving dressed as their favorite book characters to win a prize. Tickets are limited, and are free at the library information desk.

7 p.m. Oct. 25 | Friday Night Library: Reading Gives You Goosebumps | South Irving Library

The annual fall carnival celebrates author R.L. Stine’s spine-chilling series Goosebumps. Stop at Trunk or Treat for candy and prizes, get creative with crafts, try your hand at the game stations, browse the library's collection, and (for older kids, teens, and adults) take a tour of the spook house.

2:30 p.m. Oct. 26 | Halloween and Day of the Dead Crafts | West Irving Library

Kids and teens create a variety of fun and easy seasonal crafts.

4:30 p.m. Oct. 31 | Fall Celebration | East Branch Library

It's time for slime, boo bubbles, games and crafts.
