It’s the most wonderful time of the year for shoppers! Deep discounts, glittery wrapping paper, seeing someone gasp with delight at receiving just the right present makes the season more merry and bright. Do you have a book lover on your list? There are so many ways to make their holiday without breaking the bank.
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, the Friends of the Irving Public Library are hosting their annual Holiday Book Sale at the Friends Warehouse, 3000 Rock Island Road. Find tons of stocking stuffers for just a dollar! Find gently used and inexpensive entertainment for those cold wintry nights, too.
There are so many ways to give a book this season. Think outside the box. Turn a beautiful book cover into a DIY book clutch, a photo album, or use the pages to create holiday ornaments.
The Friends of the Irving Public Library have made gift certificates available for those who love to shop for books and make their spending money stretch beyond the limits. Friends memberships and donations make great gifts for those on your list who have just about everything. The rush for end–of-the-year charitable giving is here, and all donations to the Friends are tax deductible.
