Irving Fire, Police Departments Remind Residents Ways to Protect Themselves

The Irving Fire and Police Departments are reminding residents to follow the protective tips issued from the Texas Health and Human Services.

Basic Habits go a Long Way

  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Stay home if you’re sick.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

wHAT if am experiencing flu-like symptoms?

  • Before going to a doctor’s office or emergency room, call ahead and let them know about your symptoms.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a mask before you enter a healthcare facility for a medical evaluation.
  • Avoid any contact with others while sick.
