Sample Subdivision Plat

As a government entity, the Planning Department at the City of Irving remains open for business during this time of social distancing. While most of our staff is working from home, we continue to process your zoning and platting cases and respond to your questions and requests. We continue to have the Planning and Zoning Commission hearings, however we are limiting the meetings to once a month for the near future.

While City Hall is currently closed to the public, we are accepting applications electronically. Below is the process:

  • Email your signed and completed application form, site plans, and other necessary documents to
  • Staff will respond indicating receipt and acceptance of your application and provide you a case number such as ZC, ZVL, PL, etc.
  • You will then be able to use the case number to pay online through our Trakit permit system
  • Your case manager will be contacting you concerning any questions or plan review comments and hearing dates.

Please know, if you submit a plat for first consideration or revision, the state mandated timelines still apply at this time. We will work with the applicants toward an appropriate schedule.

If you have further questions or concerns, please email us at or call 972-721-2424 and we will be glad to assist you.
