Periodic lane closures will occur on Glenmore and Shepherd Streets, from Sixth Street to Irving Boulevard, for utility improvements and street paving. The project begins July 27 and runs through May 2021. Only one street - either Glenmore or Shepherd - will be reduced to one-way traffic at a time. Traffic along eastbound E. Irving Boulevard also will be impacted.
The referenced project will rebuild both of the existing barrow ditch roads, Glenmore and Shepherd Streets, and improve them to 31-foot wide standard roadway sections. The project will include sidewalks on both sides of roadways and barrier-free ramps.
Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and to seek alternate routes when possible.
