Traffic Alert: Nov. 26 Turkey Trot

The Irving Marathon 2020 1-Mile/5K/8-Mile Turkey Trot hits the streets of Las Colinas on Thursday, Nov. 26 - Thanksgiving Day. The course mainly runs along Las Colinas Boulevard, O’Connor Boulevard, Promenade Parkway, Lake Carolyn Parkway and Lake Carolyn Promenade, which circles Lake Carolyn. The race subject to change, based on COVID-19 activity leading up to the event. 

Participants and spectators will meet at Toyota Music Factory, 316 W. Las Colinas Blvd., at approximately 7 a.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, runners will be released in groups for safety when the event begins at 8 a.m. The staggered race starts are expected to last through 9 a.m.

Motorists should expect traffic stoppages along the race route of up to 15 minutes, through noon Nov. 26, including these intersections and roadways:

  • Las Colinas Boulevard and N. O'Connor Boulevard at Williams Square
  • Las Colinas Boulevard and Promenade Parkway
  • Promenade Parkway and Lake Carolyn Parkway
  • Entrance to AMLI Apartments and Lake Carolyn Promenade circling Lake Carolyn, to the Omni Hotel
