Website - Legislative Insider

The Texas House Committee on State Affairs has posted HB 749 - Relating to a prohibition on local government to hire outside consultants to communicate with the legislature – for a public hearing 8 a.m. Thursday, March 25 in Room E1.004 of the State Capitol in Austin. If you wish to comment on the legislation, the committee is accepting online comments until the hearing adjourns, which will be some time during the day on Thursday, March 25. To comment online, visit https://comments.house.texas.gov/?c=c450.

Alternatively, comments may be emailed to each member of the committee. Comments received after the hearing adjourns will not be part of the official record but can be considered by committee members in determining whether to move this legislation out of committee. Legislation is frequently heard in one meeting but does not receive a final vote until a subsequent hearing.
