Write On for NaNoWriMo

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is an annual event every November to encourage participants to write each day, resulting in a 50,000-word manuscript by the end of the month.

Support a community of other writers and exchange techniques and tips of the craft by joining Irving Public Library for write-ins every Tuesday night through November at 7 p.m. at West Irving Library.

Take an opportunity to learn how to write from within at Intuitive Journaling with Andrea at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11 at South Irving Library. The instructor will lead the group through a session of tapping into the innermost self to enhance writing experiences.

Done or almost done with 50,000 words at the end of the month? Either way, celebrate NaNoWriMo's end at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30 at West Irving Library.

Everyone with an Irving Public Library card who is age 16 and older can further their writing skills through LinkedIn Learning online. Watch videos, follow learning paths or take individual courses such as “Writing with Flair: How to Become an Exceptional Writer,” “Grammar Foundations” and “Format Your Writing.”
