The City of Coppell's multiyear reconstruction of Belt Line Road project will impact traffic on Belt Line near the Irving-Coppell border, as well as IH-635 and nearby streets.
On Feb. 28, the City of Coppell will close all southbound lanes of Belt Line Road north of IH-635, and traffic will move to one lane in each direction in the northbound lanes. The full project is expected to run through early 2023, weather permitting. The City of Coppell has a dedicated web page for updates on this project.
Coppell advises motorists to seek alternate routes and expect travel delays. Drivers are encouraged to use IH-635/S. Royal, IH-635/Freeport Parkway and MacArthur Boulevard to avoid construction.
