Can we put plastic grocery bags, like those used at the checkout to sack our groceries, in our weekly blue recycling bag?

Solid Waste Services does not accept grocery bags in the blue bags for recycling. These shopping bags can be returned to most grocery stores and placed in a container usually located at the entrance of the store.
