The City of Irving adopted the PUD #6 which sets the standards for the former stadium site as well as the area surrounding. The PUD #6 area includes more than 400 acres of developable land. It is the desire for the City to see the area developed into a prime mixed-use development to include major offices, residential, and retail options.
Currently, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is leasing the city-owned former stadium site as staging for the planned reconstruction of SH 183, SH 114 and Loop 12. All three highways surround the former stadium site and are extremely important for the development of PUD#6.
