The purpose of requiring short-term rental (STR) registration is to ensure that STRs operate in a manner that maintains the quality of life in residential neighborhoods. By requiring STR property owners to register, the city will be aware of where STRs operate, have swift access to contact information for operators and ensure that STRs operate in a manner compliant with Irving’s codes and state law.
