Completing the vendor application does not guarantee acceptance into an event, or the requested events. Vendor selection will be at Irving's sole and absolute discretion. Irving will consider, among other factors, event theme/audience, and product quality/suitability/uniqueness.
Vendor spaces are available in four categories. Please read the category definitions and select the appropriate category. Note that the special event staff reviewing the application will make the final determination on the appropriate category for each vendor. There are a limited number of spaces available for each category. ARTISAN VENDOR - Vendor must create at least 75% of the products to be exhibited or sold. - This includes handmade or custom art, jewelry, clothing, accessories, furniture, décor, toys or similar items. COMMUNITY VENDOR - Information, resale and local businesses. - Includes independent consultants/direct sales, local nonprofit organizations, locally owned Irving-based businesses, and the sale of manufactured products and prepackaged food/beverage items. COMMERCIAL VENDOR - Chain retailers, regional/national corporations, and businesses based outside of Irving. - This includes electricity/internet/phone service providers, health care institutions, memberships/rewards clubs, travel agents, and other retail or service providers. FOOD VENDOR - Any vendor serving open food or beverage requiring a permit under Irving Inspections or TABC rules. - This includes any alcohol, edible substances, ice, beverages or open ingredients. - This does not include prepackaged, non-potentially hazardous foods such as unopened cans or bottles of nonalcoholic beverage, individual bags of chips/cookies, etc. Such items generally fall under "Community Vendor". All food and alcohol vendors will be required to provide a current Certificate of Commercial Liability Insurance with coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence no less than one month prior to each event. Alcohol vendors must also include Liquor Liability Coverage on their certificate of insurance at a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence. All food vendors must obtain a Temporary Event Food Permit from the City of Irving Inspections Department. For questions regarding food handling and health inspections, please call the Inspections Department at (972) 721-2371. For your convenience, a link to the Temporary Event Food Permit Guidelines is listed in the next section. All alcohol vendors must provide a Temporary Event Permit from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) no less than one month prior to each event.I understand and agree to abide by these permit and insurance requirements:

I understand that the City of Irving, Texas, (hereinafter the "City") is a home rule municipality that sponsors a variety of activities. The activities, which I seek to participate in, involve the risk of injury or death. I agree that by participating in this special event, a City-related activity, I am responsible for my own safety and agree that I knowingly and voluntarily assume the risks involved in such activity. In consideration of the City permitting me to participate in the activities described herein, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns, as follows: 1) I agree to waive, release, hold harmless, and discharge from any and all liability the City, its elected or appointed officials, officers, agents, representatives, employees, and volunteers, from and against any and all claims and damages of every kind, for my injury or death and for damage to or loss of property arising out of or attributed to the activities described herein, including but not limited to claims and damages arising in whole or in part from the negligence of the City and its elected or appointed officials, officers, agents, representatives, employees, and volunteers. 2) I also agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the City, its elected or appointed officials, officers, agents, representatives, employees, and volunteers, from any and all liability, claims, actions, suits, judgment, damages, and costs arising out of or attributed to my participation in the activities described herein, including any injury or death and damage to or loss of property resulting there from. This Release shall bind executors, my administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, assigns, and me. I understand and acknowledge that the City is acting in reliance upon agreements made by me in this Release in order to extend to me the benefits of participation in the activities described herein and that, were I not willing to abide by the terms of this Release, such opportunity to participate in the activities described herein would not be extended to me. I further understand and acknowledge that the City is acting in reliance upon representations made by me in this Release, and were I not willing to abide by the terms of this Release, the City’s permission to participate in the activities described herein would not be extended to me. I understand that this Release is not a contract of employment, that I am not an employee of the City, and that I will not be eligible for nor entitled to workers’ compensation benefits or any other employee benefits from the City.
In connection with the City of Irving Citywide Special Events listed on this application ("Events"), Vendor agrees that it shall abide by and that Vendor's participation in Events is subject to all of the terms and conditions of the "Vendor Booth Rules and Regulations" linked above and made a part hereof for all purposes. Vendor represents and warrants that Vendor has read and understands the same.
