Retired City of Irving police officer Doug Hutchison and his wife Carol share personal stories of public service by Texas law enforcement officers, as featured in their book, "Behind the Texas Badge." A book-signing will follow with proceeds to Texas chapters of Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) and to the Texas Game Warden Association's Great Fall Huntventure, a program for the children of fallen officers.

Mingle with family, friends and neighbors at this annual Cookout and Campfire. Staff will be serving cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, chips and soft drinks in the park. Afterwards, guests can make s’mores by a real campfire and sing along with karaoke. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair. Admission is free. First come, first served.
