Students ages 6-10 will meet each Saturday for six consecutive weeks to experiment and have fun learning the basics of photography and composition techniques with hands-on activities to create great photographs. Equipment provided.

Texas Nonprofit Theatres (TNT) presents Quad Fest. Theatrical companies vie for the opportunity to represent Texas at the Regional Festival in May, with the ultimate goal of advancing to the National Festival in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, later this summer. The program for Quad Fest will be as follows:

Come early to get the best seat for a screening of Alpha (PG-13, 2018). Keda, a young, soon-to-be leader of a caveman tribe, falls from a cliff while hunting. Presumed dead by his people, Keda awakens to discover that he is alone in a dangerous world. Injured and desperate to find his way home, he is helped by the wolf that almost killed him. Cinema13 is for adults and teens ages 13 and over.

Children in preschool through Kindergarten (ages 4-6) will be introduced to coding and building concepts using stories, DUPLOs, Codepillars, and Beebots. Participants are challenged to complete simple and engaging activities in this 45-minute program. This program is supported by the Friends of the Irving Public Library, through an award provided by Irving ShareTank.Space is limited to 24 pairs of participants (parent and child) and tickets are required. Christopher Robin’s friendship with a bear named Winnie the Pooh is forgotten as a working class adult with a family to support. At a particularly despairing moment, they are reunited, and together they embark upon a journey to recapture the joy that Christopher Robin left behind in childhood.
