We're an informal group of book lovers who read and discuss a wide variety of titles, from recent literary bestsellers to classic novels. The group meets at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month at the Heritage Senior Center. This month, we'll discuss A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles.

Parents, caregivers and children ages 1-3 are invited to week two of a five week interactive series with unstructured play and an opportunity to talk with Jill Karg a speech therapist from Children's Health. The programs promote the role of parent as the child’s first teacher, and weekly topics include literacy and play, language development, nutrition, safety and child development.

Take a comprehensive view of the many different urban wildlife species found in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. The workshop will begin with familiar animals and move on to the more rare and unusual types, including how and why wildlife lives in the city. It also includes a brief discussion of where and when to observe urban wildlife in the area.
