Animal Services

  1. Free Adoptions for Pets 1 Year and Older

    November 16, 2019, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Adoption Kennels

    All adoptable animals 1 year and older at the Irving Animal Care Campus (IACC) will have their adoption fee waived.

    Animals being adopted will be:

    • Up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies if the animal is more than four months of age
    • Spayed or neutered
    • Given a general dewormer and treated for fleas and ticks
    • Microchipped and registered with 24PetWatch
    • Heartworm tested (dogs over 6 months of age)
    • FeLV / FIV tested (cats over 6 months of age)
    • Given 30 days of 24PetWatch pet insurance (with a valid email address)
    • Given a sample bag of Science Diet food

    This cooking book club serves up November's selection, The Skinnytaste Cookbook: Light on Calories, Big on Flavors by Gina Homolka. Do you love browsing through cookbooks and trying new recipes or techniques? Do you enjoy sampling and sharing new dishes? Then hang onto your spatula! We pick the book, you choose and make a recipe, then we all partake. You don’t have to be a gourmet chef to participate. Novices will have the chance to learn from more experienced cooks, and experienced cooks will have a chance to show off and share their amazing skills. Stop by the Valley Ranch Library information desk to register for the book club and pick your recipe. No children, please.
