Attention, aspiring authors - writing your own 50,000-word novel may become a reality by Dec. 1! During National Novel Writing Month in November, you write a number of words each day, and by the end of the month, you've got your book draft.

West Irving Library offers Wi-Fi, power outlets, and comfortable chairs for you to write every day. In addition, programs throughout November provide writing space and camaraderie, as well as snacks, including chocolate.

This month's regularly-scheduled Writers Salon on the third Tuesday is the "NaNoWriMo" edition, although you're welcome to work on your other writing also.

NaNoWriMo launched in 1999, and has resulted in authors crafting future bestsellers such as Water for Elephants, Fangirl, and WOOL. There are no entry fees or judges. For more information about NaNoWriMo and its year-round activities, please visit
