  1. Adult ESL Classes: Beginning/Intermediate Levels

    Learn English vocabulary, writing, and conversation. Facilitated by the Irving Independent School District Adult Education Department and Workforce Solutions.     Come Write In!

    During National Novel Writing Month in November, write a number of words each day, and by the end of the month, you've got a 50,000-word book draft. In addition, programs throughout November at West Irving Library provide writing space and camaraderie, as well as snacks.

  4. NaNoWriMo 2019: Meet and Greet

    Attention, aspiring authors - writing your own 50,000-word novel may become a reality by Dec. 1! During National Novel Writing Month in November, you write a number of words each day, and by the end of the month, you've got your book draft.

    West Irving Library offers Wi-Fi, power outlets, and comfortable chairs for you to write every day. In addition, programs throughout November provide writing space and camaraderie, as well as snacks. At the first event, on Oct. 30, you'll have the chance to meet fellow writers before you embark on this literary adventure.

    NaNoWriMo launched in 1999, and has resulted in authors crafting future bestsellers such as Water for Elephants, Fangirl, and WOOL. There are no entry fees or judges. For more information about NaNoWriMo and its year-round activities, please visit https://www.nanowrimo.org/.
