    Widely hailed as Tennessee William’s last great play, “The Night of the Iguana” grapples with some of life’s biggest mysteries. A defrocked priest has been accused of having inappropriate relations with a teenage girl. He seeks shelter at a Mexican inn run by his blowsy, widowed old friend who finds herself competing for his attentions with a kindly spinster who is caring for her grandfather, an aging poet. Of this play, the New York Times raves, “This is Tennessee Williams at the top of his form.”

  1. North Texas Teen Book Festival 2019

    March 23, 2019, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas

    Get connected with the nation’s best and newest Young Adult and Middle Grade authors at the North Texas Teen Book Festival. Over 70 novelists will attend the 2019 event, including keynotes Raina Telgemeier (Smile, Drama, Share Your Smile, and many more graphic novel works), Tahereh Mafi (Shatter Me series, A Very Large Expanse of Sea) and Tomi Adeyemi (Children of Blood and Bone). Meet famous BookTubers and social media celebrities such as Baby Ariel, Naya Perkins of NayaReads&Smiles, Natasha Polis of Tashapolis and Christine Riccio of PolandBananasBOOKS. The day will be filled with panel discussions and activities ending in a collective author signing time (some authors require signing line tickets). Parking is $10.   1. Girls Who Code: SQL Class Registration Event

    Young women in grades 6-12 are invited to register for a 5-session SQL class facilitated by Girls Who Code and library staff instructors from March 22-29. In-person registration only. Sign up at the Reference Desk. Classes will meet 2:30-4 p.m. March 30, April 13 & 27 May 11 & 25. Class size is limited to 15 persons. Strict class attendance requirements apply.
