  1. CLASS FULL: Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Systems

    March 4, 2019, 6:30 PM - March 7, 2019, 9:30 PM @ Police and Fire Training Academy

    Feb. 22, 2019: This class is full.

    Open to all females ages 12 and older living, working or visiting the DFW area, the focus of the RAD class is realistic self-defense techniques. The course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, and then progresses to the basics of hands-on self-defense training.

    RAD is designed to engage participants in a series of hands-on, realistic, self-defense tactics and reinforce the power of the voice. Keep in mind this is a very physical class, and it can be strenuous.

    The course is taught by Irving police and detention officers who are nationally certified RAD instructors. Class size is limited, and registration is required.
