  1. Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course

    April 27, 2019 - April 29, 2019 @ North Lake Natatorium

    Ages 15 and older and able to complete precourse swim test American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification classes prepare participants to handle emergencies, whether on land or in the water, and result in a certificate that may qualify for a job in the community.   3. NEA Big Read Irving 2019: Grow Your Family Tree

    Turn your unwanted items into cash or discover a new treasure at this outdoor flea market. For those interested in being a vendor, parking lot spaces are available for $15 each, or two for $25. Vendors should register by April 12. Rain date will be April 21.

  1. Arbor Day Celebration

    April 27, 2019, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Heritage Park

    The annual Arbor Day Celebration features a variety of activities and interactive displays centered around trees, nature and the great outdoors. Adults will enjoy live music by the Bnois King Band, a question and answer session with tree experts, several tree-related vendors, and drawings for free trees throughout the day. Children can visit with the snake encounters, learn how to climb a tree, or jump in the bounce house. Learning the what, where and how of successful tree planting can be fun for the whole family!

    Admission and parking are free.
