June is Adopt-a-Cat Month at the Irving Animal Care Campus, 4140 Valley View Lane. Adoption fees for cats 1 year and older are waived during June, and kittens are available for a $50 adoption fee. Vaccinations, spay/neuter, leukemia test and microchip included with all cat adoptions.
All adoptions must be processed 30 minutes before closing.

Come to Irving's Irving Dog's Park for fun, food and music for the whole family - including your dog!
The park will be full of pet-friendly vendors, food trucks, pet games and more. Enjoy music and animal demonstrations. Don't miss it!

Organized by Texas Nonprofit Theatres (TNT), the youth conference is a five-day event, celebrating young people’s involvement in the performing arts.

Children can bring their fathers out to celebrate his special day at this fun bonding opportunity. Help your dad build and fly your kite. Registration is required. Cost is $5 per child.

For more than 23 years, the city has hosted a Juneteenth event, commemorating the date that Texans first learned of President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. Join the City of Irving and the West Irving Improvement Association from 4 to 7 p.m. June 15 at 3925 Jackson St., for the 2019 celebration. Visitors can learn about Irving’s rich history in the museums at the Jackie Townsell Bear Creek Heritage Center. This year’s event will also feature free musical performances, local vendors, outdoor games and children’s activities. Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
