  1. Free Cat Adoptions

    June 1, 2019 - June 30, 2019 @ Irving Animal Care Campus

    June is Adopt-a-Cat Month at the Irving Animal Care Campus, 4140 Valley View Lane. Adoption fees for cats 1 year and older are waived during June, and kittens are available for a $50 adoption fee. Vaccinations, spay/neuter, leukemia test and microchip included with all cat adoptions.

    All adoptions must be processed 30 minutes before closing.

    Do you love browsing through cookbooks and trying new recipes or cooking techniques? Do you enjoy sampling and sharing new dishes? Then hang onto your spatula! We pick the cookbook; you choose and make a recipe. Then we all partake. You don’t have to be a gourmet chef to participate. Novices will have the chance to learn from more experienced cooks, and the experienced cooks will have a chance to show off and share their amazing skills. Stop by the Valley Ranch Library Reference Desk to register for the book club and pick your recipe. Our featured cookbook for the June meeting is Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering by Joanna Gaines. No children please.

  1. Poolside Teen Jam

    June 22, 2019, 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM @ Lively Park Pool

    Middle and high school students are invited to create fun memories with friends at Poolside Teen Jam events planned this summer. Hosted by Lively Pointe Youth Center, the Teen Jams combine music, food, friends and water into a party atmosphere.

    Admission is free for students with a valid IPAR card or school ID. In case of inclement weather, the Splash Jam will be moved inside to the adjacent recreation center.
