  1. SRC @ West: Moon Landing 50th Anniversary

    July 20, 2019, 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM @ West Irving Library Meeting Room

    Start counting down to this celebration of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing! The "mission schedule" includes free activities for all ages:

    10 a.m.-6 p.m.: Outer space crafts in the activity room. For kids.

    11-11:30 a.m.: "Would You Like to Swing on a Star?" program with performer Rochelle Rabouin in the meeting room. For kids.

    1-3 p.m.: Perot Museum’s Tech Truck: Space Experiments in the parking lot. For all ages.

    2:30-3:30 p.m.: "Through the Universe" program presented by City Lights Astronomical Society in the meeting room. For all ages.

    8:30-10 p.m.: Star Party presented by the Fort Worth Astronomical Society in the parking lot. Look at the moon and stars through a variety of telescopes, get a space selfie taken in the photo booth, play games, enjoy pizza and moon pies and more! For all ages.

  3. Chapter Books and Cozy Nooks Book Club discusses Geronimo Stilton's Save the White Whale

    This month's selection is Geronimo Stilton's Save the White Whale.

    In this book club, discuss a travel-themed title and participate in related activities, including a craft. Free chapter books are given out monthly, and are limited to the first ten children. Meets on the 2nd floor in study room C. Grades 1-3.
