  1. New Year's Day - No Trash Pickup / City Offices Closed

    January 1, 2020, All Day @ Various city facilities

    There will be no residential trash, curbside recycling or brush collection Jan. 1. In addition the following facilities will be closed:

    • City Hall
    • Irving Animal Care Campus
    • The Hunter Ferrell Landfill
    • Libraries and recreation centers
    • Heritage Aquatic Center
    • The Irving Arts Center

    The North Lake Natatorium is closed through Jan. 5. All other offices and services resume normal business hours Jan. 2.

Library Events

  1. Libraries Closed Jan. 1

    January 1, 2020, All Day @ All Irving Public Library Locations.

    Library locations close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1.

    South Irving Library, 601 Schulze Drive.
    Valley Ranch Library, 401 Cimarron Trail.
    West Irving Library, 4444 W. Rochelle Road.

    East Library, 440 S. Nursery Road, is closed for renovations as of Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019. Join us for a community celebration and open house from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020.
