Ages 6-10. Experiment and have fun learning the art of illustration, a powerful tool in conveying the ideas of an author and capturing a reader’s interest. Students will learn techniques in drawing, painting, cartooning and printmaking. They will explore the work of Illustrator Melissa Sweet and create a flip book filled with their own artwork.

Entertainment Series of Irving presents a special double-tribute bill featuring Kraig Parker, who performs as Elvis, and Al Nelson, performing as Roy Orbison. Parker has performed his world-class show for nearly 20 years across America and Europe, delighting crowds at casinos, performance halls and cruise ships. With a powerful voice, electric moves and tasteful charisma, Parker delivers just as Elvis did. Nelson has performed his spot-on Roy Orbison tribute at such notable venues as the Starlight Theater in Branson, Missouri; the Roxy Theater in Atlanta, Georgia; and The Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
