Looking for the coolest summer companion? The Irving Animal Care Campus (IACC), 4140 Valley View Lane, is offering free adoptions for cats 1 year or older during the month of July. Kittens adoption fees are $50.
Adoptable cats will be:
Up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies if the animal is more than four months old.
Spayed or neutered.
Given a general dewormer and treated for fleas and ticks.
Microchipped and registered with 24PetWatch.
Tested for FeLV and FIV if the cat is at least six months old.
Given 30 days of 24PetWatch pet insurance, with a valid email address.
Given a sample bag of Science Diet food.

Schedule your appointment to have your pet spayed or neutered at an affordable cost. Pets are dropped off by 6:30 a.m. and picked up the same day around 5 p.m.

July 8 Update: Carter BloodCare reports all appointments are booked for the Irving location. No walk-ins can be accepted due to COVID-19 precautions. The City of Irving thanks the community for its tremendous response.
The North Texas Mayor Council will be hosting a Regional North Texas Blood Drive in Irving, Richardson and Fort Worth July 14. Carter BloodCare will be conducting the donation drive. Appointments are required to donate. Donors will be stationed following social distancing guidelines and are required to wear a mask when donating. As part of the donation process, Carter BloodCare has added a free COVID-19 antibody test for all donors. Individuals can view results online at least seven days after donating. Junior campers, ages 4-5, will go on a virtual time travel safari adventure as they learn about the animals that have walked the earth through various time periods and use their imaginations to create their own animal art. Only their imaginations will set the limits for this time-traveling expedition.
