Looking for the coolest summer companion? The Irving Animal Care Campus (IACC), 4140 Valley View Lane, is offering free adoptions for cats 1 year or older during the month of July. Kittens adoption fees are $50.
Adoptable cats will be:
Up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies if the animal is more than four months old.
Spayed or neutered.
Given a general dewormer and treated for fleas and ticks.
Microchipped and registered with 24PetWatch.
Tested for FeLV and FIV if the cat is at least six months old.
Given 30 days of 24PetWatch pet insurance, with a valid email address.
Given a sample bag of Science Diet food.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Irving Arts Center's galleries will remain closed until further notice. The July 1 reopening has been delayed. While the Arts Center is closed during the COVID-19 disaster, exhibitions are available online for viewing at Irving Arts Center website.

The remaining instruction classes are at 11 a.m. on July 27 and Aug. 3.The library's mask kits went quickly, but follow along the how-to videos by having your own supplies ready.Please call (972) 721-2606 for Zoom log-in information and a detailed list of supplies, including a bandana, hair ties and safety pins.

Adults ages 50 and older are invited to tune in and join Andrea for this 30-minute toning and stretching workout. This is a great way to improve general conditioning, flexibility, and stamina. We will spend the first portion of class working on strength and endurance, followed by an extended stretching period to increase flexibility and reduce muscle stiffness.

Get ready for an indoor ABC Scavenger hunt. I will give you a letter in the alphabet and you have to go around the house and find items that begin or end with that letter. This class is for anyone ages 3-5 years.

Children ages 6-12 will enjoy creating fun, easy crafts in the comfort of home.
Supplies Needed: construction paper, crayons/markers, pencil, scissors, ruler, glue stick/stapler/tape.
Let's make some bubbles. This class will show you 2 craft projects that go together. 1st one how to make your own bubbles and 2nd how to make a honeycomb bubble blower. Supplies needed: liquid dish soap, water, shallow bowl, 4-5 plastic straw, low temp hot glue gun. Adult supervision required when using a hot glue gun.

In this class, the instructor or one of the participants will act out a word or phrase, while the rest of the group will have to guess the correct answer. For children ages 6-11.
