Every Tuesday from noon to 1:30 p.m., an informal adult education program meets weekly on Zoom to discuss art topics that tie into current exhibitions at the IAC galleries. Write a poem with the theme "Ordinary to Extraordinary," focusing on how the simple things can make a big difference. The contest starts Jan. 23, and entries must be submitted by Feb. 12.Prizes will be given for each age category:Children up to age 10Teens age 11 to 16Young adults age 17 to 20Adults age 21 and above.Entries will be judged by theme, originality, and how well the poem blends with the subject matter of this year's NEA Big Read selection "A Small Story About the Sky" by poet Alberto Rios.
