    “A History of Walls” features a closer look at four historically significant walls: the Great Wall of China, the Berlin Wall, the Israel/West Bank Barrier, and the US/Mexico Border Wall.

    Each wall is examined as a historical, political, and cultural phenomenon. The exhibit puts a special focus on the lives of people affected by these imposing and oftentimes dangerous structures. Visitors will find themselves challenged to consider the role of walls in their lives, whether those walls are far away or right next door.

  1. Public Meeting: North Delaware Creek Channel Improvements

    July 28, 2021, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Jack D. Huffman Community Building

    The City of Irving is proposing channel improvements for North Delaware Creek, from SH-183 to Finley Road, supported by the Drainage Solutions for a Better Tomorrow Program. This notice advises the public that the city will be conducting an in-person Public Meeting on the project. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 28 at the Jack D. Huffman Community Building, 801 W. Irving Blvd.

    Public comments are encouraged and may be provided at the public meeting or online through the website. Following the public meeting, the July 28 presentation will be made available for download from the website. For more information about the project, call the Capital Improvement Program Department at (972) 721-2611, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
