Beginning Nov. 1, pick up a kit with supplies to create stickers at home. While supplies last. Adults.

During November, complete a 50,000-word original novel by writing a certain number of words each day. This year, join other dedicated wordsmiths at South Irving Library during National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and the Irving Writers Salon. All programs are at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays, with the exception of Nov. 23, when the library is closed.

Nov. 2: Kickoff.
Nov. 9 and 16: Irving Writers Salon.
Nov. 30: Wrap-Up Party.

All writers and readers are welcome. Sharing work is not required. Adults.

Valley Ranch Library family storytime sessions require tickets, as space is limited. Tickets are free and are available beginning 30 minutes prior to the session start time.

Please check the holiday calendar for library closures.

Note: Storytimes at all library locations will be on break from Dec. 24 to Dec. 30. Valley Ranch storytimes will be on break Feb. 19 to March 11.

Storytime sessions will resume as of Nov. 27.

Join this class to learn where the term underwater basket weaving originated. Adults.

Create paper crafts a cut above the rest. Visit the Teen Zone at any library location and grab Day of the Dead craft kits to make colorful flower crowns or nichos. While supplies last. Teens.

Learn new culinary tips and tricks to level up on kitchen skills. Space is limited, and registration is required by contacting the library. The class location is the West Irving Library program room. Ages 13-18.
