Stock up on summer reading at the Friends of the Irving Library Annual Book Sale. Most items are $1 or less, and include books, music and videos for all ages. Proceeds benefit Irving Public Library.

Location: 3000 Rock Island Road.

Sale hours:
3 to 7 p.m., June 9: Members-Only Preview. Memberships are available at the door.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 10: Open to the public.
1 to 4 p.m., June 11: Open to the public.

This month, pick up a kit containing all the materials needed to create an edgy bookmark. While supplies last. Adults.
